‘What The Water Gave Me’ was commissioned by The Australian Embassy and presented at Colomboscope 2019 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It was a two-channel video made in a wetland in Werribee, exploring the flight patterns, and pathways of migratory birds. My actions and movements are presented as a doubling or split in my own migratory body that interweaves between water and sky, time passed and time remembered; that occupies both here and there, inhabiting ambiguous connections to place, and loss

The theme of the festival was SEA CHANGE; evoking stories of maritime history, delving into oceanic ecology and shipping infrastructure. SEA CHANGE was curated by Natasha Ginwala.
